St. Willibrord Parish Holds Annual Volunteer Day in the Netherlands

On Saturday 13 June, the parish of St. Willibrord celebrated its yearly volunteer day. The afternoon began with a Mass led by Pastor Bosma, who highlighted the essential role of volunteers, saying “without them, we can do nothing.” After the service, volunteers gathered in the garden behind the St. Joseph and St. Martinus churches for coffee, tea, a barbecue and a lively quiz. Participants included cleaners, altar servers, group leaders and those who prepared the garden. The event was accompanied by music from the Volare men’s choir from Sassenheim, adding a festive atmosphere and fostering community bonding.

The parish thanked the volunteers for their contributions, emphasizing that their talents help the parish function as a true community.
