Stablecoin Market Caps $323.3B as Tether Holds 58% Share
The total market capitalization of stablecoins rose to $323.343 billion over the past week, driven by $1.542 billion of new inflows. Tether's USDT remained the dominant stablecoin, holding $189.7 billion in market value – a 58.67% share of the sector – and added $68.2 million since May 9.
Circle's USDC fell 1.22%, losing roughly $950 million and bringing its market cap to $77.068 billion. Sky's USDS posted strong growth, up 11.5% to $8.791 billion, while Western Union's newly launched USDPT surged 597,568% in price despite a modest $1.5 million market cap. Other notable stablecoins included DAI at $4.613 billion, World Liberty Financial's USD1 at $4.52 billion, PayPal's PYUSD, Ethena's USDe, BlackRock's BUIDL, Circle's USYC, and Global Dollar's USDG.
