Stablecoin Transaction Volume Tops $1.79 Trillion in June, USDC Dominates Usage

Visa data released for June shows stablecoin transaction volume reaching $1.79 trillion, a 63% rise from the previous month and a 125% year‑on‑year increase. The surge highlights expanding use of stablecoins beyond trading, encompassing payments, decentralized finance and cross‑border transfers. Circle’s USDC accounted for about 67% of the total volume ($1.21 trillion), while Tether’s USDT handled $576 billion and PayPal’s PYUSD recorded $2.4 billion.

On the exchange side, Binance reported a net inflow of $213 million in USDT over a 24‑hour period, indicating heightened liquidity on the platform. The deposits could support spot purchases or leveraged derivatives, though analysts note that single‑day inflows may reflect isolated transfers and require further monitoring to confirm broader market positioning.
