Stadtradeln cycling events record miles in Bad Kissingen and Karlshuld
In Bad Kissingen, the 2026 Stadtradeln competition ran from 14 June to 4 July, drawing 966 cyclists who collectively covered 249,878 km. Twelve‑year‑old Lucy Klinder logged the highest individual distance with 1,317.8 km, a route that would reach Barcelona. The event saved an estimated 37.5 tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to about 6.2 Earth‑circumferences, and the winning school team from Bad Brückenau received a €250 prize.
In Karlshuld, participants rode from 21 June to 11 July, amassing 91,346 km despite temperatures exceeding 37 °C. The team “Bayernfanclub Bierstüberl” topped the team ranking with 19,055 km, while the most active individual rider, Philipp Lehmeier, recorded 2,656 km. The competition also highlighted strong performances by women’s rider Kathrin Piller and young cyclist Ida Langer.
