Standard Nuclear seeks $3.5 billion valuation in US IPO

Standard Nuclear, the sole independent U.S. manufacturer of TRISO nuclear fuel particles, announced the launch of its roadshow for a proposed initial public offering. The company will offer up to 18.25 million Class A common shares at $18‑$21 per share, aiming to raise as much as $383.25 million and achieve a valuation of roughly $3.5 billion. The shares would trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker “STDN.” BofA Securities and Goldman Sachs act as joint lead book‑running managers, with additional participation from Barclays, UBS, Evercore ISI, RBC Capital Markets, William Blair and Stifel.

Formed in 2025 after acquiring assets of the bankrupt Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation, Standard Nuclear has attracted investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and Chevron Technology Ventures. The company supplies TRISO fuel for next‑generation small modular reactors (SMRs), a technology gaining attention as AI data centers increase electricity demand. Competitor X‑energy completed a $1.02 billion IPO in April 2026, underscoring market interest in nuclear‑energy firms.

The IPO filing was made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 18, 2026. The offering remains subject to market conditions and SEC approval before any shares can be sold.
