Star Academy 2026: Mosimann named new director for TF1 competition

The fourteenth season of the French music competition Star Academy is set to premiere on TF1 on October 10, 2026. The new season introduces significant changes to the program's leadership and teaching staff.

Mosimann, a winner of the show's seventh season, will succeed Mickaël Goldman as the director of the academy. Mosimann intends to focus on artistic identity and storytelling, introducing a weekly session called ‘l’Atelier du Directeur’ dedicated to composition and songwriting.

The teaching team will consist of eight professionals. Returning instructors include Sofia Morgavi, Jonathan Jenvrin, and Ladji Doucouré, while Lydia Bouchard and Philippine Lavrey join the faculty. Additionally, Vianney has been announced as the season's godfather, succeeding Charlotte Cardin and Ed Sheeran.
