Star Academy season 14 production updates

The fourteenth season of the French music competition Star Academy is scheduled to premiere on October 10, 2026, at the Dammarie-les-Lys castle on TF1.

Significant leadership changes have been announced, with former season seven winner Mosimann succeeding Mickaël Goldman as director. Mosimann plans to emphasize artistic identity and storytelling through a new weekly session titled ‘l’Atelier du Directeur’ focused on songwriting and composition. Vianney has been named the season’s godfather. The teaching faculty will include returning instructors Sofia Morgavi, Jonathan Jenvrin, and Ladji Doucouré, alongside new members Lydia Bouchard and Philippine Lavrey.

The new cohort will feature students aged 18 to 26 from France, Guadeloupe, Belgium, and Quebec. To combat online harassment, production has introduced digital security measures, including daily comment moderation and a partnership with the association e-enfance to protect students from cyberbullying. Additionally, Mosimann is expected to be absent from the second live broadcast on October 17 to begin his ‘Dream Tour’ musical marathon.
