Staré Boleslav D10 highway closed for bridge demolition

The section of the D10 motorway near Staré Boleslav was closed in both directions on Friday evening for the demolition of a concrete railway bridge. Work began between 21:00 and 22:00, with the bridge’s steel components being removed and the central span lifted onto a transport platform for removal. Detour routes for passenger cars were signed via the II/610 and II/245 roads through Staré Boleslav and Brandýs nad Labem, while heavy vehicles were redirected through Lysá nad Labem toward Nymburk.

The project, financed by the municipality with a 55 million‑CZK investment, is carried out by Skanska and is slated to last about 17 months, with the reconstructed bridge expected to be operational by the morning of the following Sunday and full completion by the end of 2025.
