Star Trek celebrates 60th anniversary with film re-releases and new action figures

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Star Trek, several commemorative events and releases have been announced.

Nacelle Toys has unveiled the fifth wave of its Star Trek action figure line. This specific wave features eight different characters all portrayed by actor Jeffrey Combs, including Weyoun, Brunt, and Thy'lek Shran. The company noted that the selection was intentional due to the breadth of characters the actor has played within the franchise.

Additionally, the first four Star Trek feature films will return to AMC and Cinemark theaters in the United States from September 4 to September 8. These theatrical re-releases will be presented as double features, pairing each film with a complementary episode from The Original Series. For example, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan will be paired with the episode ‘Space Seed’.
