Star Wars franchise celebrates literacy and collectibles

Random House is participating in Star Wars Reads Month by donating Star Wars novels to various Little Free Library locations across the United States. The initiative, which aims to encourage literacy among young people, includes titles such as ‘Star Wars Outlaws: Low Red Moon’, ‘Star Wars: Legacy’, ‘Star Wars: The Mask of Fear’, and ‘Star Wars: Thrawn (The Manga), Volume 1’. Ahmed Best serves as the official ambassador for this year's event.

In the realm of memorabilia, a vintage Italian poster for the Clint Eastwood film ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ recently outsold an original 1977 Star Wars poster at a PropStore auction, fetching $31,500. Additionally, a collection of vintage French Meccano Star Wars figures, featuring localized names such as ‘Yan Solo’ and ‘Chiktabba’, is currently up for auction at Heritage.
