Star Wars franchise unveils major exhibition in Philadelphia
Lucasfilm, part of Disney, announced a new museum‑style exhibition titled "Star Wars: The Experience – A Journey Through the Galaxy" to open on 13 February 2027 at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. The 18,000 m² show will feature 70 original props, including Darth Vader’s armor, C‑3PO, R2‑D2, Darth Maul’s lightsaber and a Grogu animatronic, and will later embark on a five‑year U.S. tour. A preview of the exhibit will appear at San Diego Comic‑Con on 24 July.
In related Star Wars coverage, a fan‑focused article highlighted seven spectacular spacecraft that have never appeared in the films, such as the Interdictor class star‑destroyer, the Gladiator cruiser, and the Bes’uliik starfighter, illustrating the franchise’s rich expanded‑universe lore.
