Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches on multiple platforms
Star Wars: Galactic Racer, developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, has launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Amazon Luna. The game features a roguelite-style campaign set in the New Republic era, where players control the racer Shade to compete in the illegal Galactic League.
Players can customize vehicles using over 300 parts, choosing between landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers. The gameplay emphasizes high-speed racing and risk management, where collisions and environmental hazards can end a run. While the game has received strong critical reviews, some players have noted issues with multiplayer lobby limits and the lack of a quick-race mode.
In response to player feedback, Fuse Games announced they are working on updates to increase multiplayer team sizes and improve customization options. The title is also available to Amazon Prime members via the Luna cloud gaming service, allowing for play without the need for a console or large downloads.
