Star Wars Zero Company preview reveals tactical depth and narrative focus

Star Wars Zero Company, the debut title from Bit Reactor, is set to launch later this month. Developed by a team of industry veterans with experience at Firaxis and Respawn Entertainment, the game is a turn-based tactics title set during the final years of the Clone Wars.

Players lead a mercenary group known as Zero Company, commanded by a former Republic officer named Hawks. The gameplay emphasizes squad customization, character bonds, and permadeath, where losing a squad member has permanent consequences. The narrative aims to blend cinematic storytelling with tactical depth, drawing influences from film noir and spy genres to create a more sophisticated experience than traditional genre entries.

Antagonistic forces include the Infinite Coil, the Slugrats, and Separatist battle droids. The game is positioned as a premium Star Wars experience, focusing on small-scale conflicts that occur alongside the larger galactic war.
