Starbucks Japan launches new Beni Haruka sweet potato seasonal menu

Starbucks Japan has announced the launch of its new autumn-themed beverage lineup, ‘Chilled Torori Mitsuimo’ (Chilled Melting Honey Sweet Potato), starting September 2. The collection focuses on the Beni Haruka variety of domestic sweet potato, designed to be enjoyed chilled to highlight its dense sweetness and smooth texture.

The new menu includes the ‘Torori Mitsuimo Beni Haruka Frappuccino,’ which features a smooth Beni Haruka paste mixed with a milk base, topped with roasted sweet potato-flavored sauce and crunchy chips. Another offering, the ‘Torori Mitsuimo Beni Haruka Mousse Tea Latte,’ combines chilled sweet potato paste with a milk tea blend of Darjeeling and Assam, topped with a light sweet potato mousse.

In addition to beverages, Starbucks is introducing the ‘Beni Haruka and Anno Imo Roasted Honey Sweet Potato Cake.’ This dessert utilizes two types of sweet potatoes to balance richness and lightness. The cake is designed to be versatile, offering a creamy, dense texture when eaten cold, or a fragrant, syrupy experience when warmed.
