STARCARES renovates basketball court in Davao City, Philippines

STARCARES, the community impact initiative of STARTRADER, has completed the redevelopment of the basketball court at Communal Elementary School in Buhangin, Davao City, Philippines.

The new facility is expected to serve approximately 20,000 people, including 2,000 students, 72 school staff, 1,600 parents, and 16,000 residents of Barangay Communal. The court will function as a space for sports, learning, and school events such as graduations and assemblies, while also serving as a community gathering place for meetings and youth activities.

This project follows previous infrastructure revitalization efforts by STARCARES in Vietnam, Thailand, and Nigeria.
