STARCARES community basketball court renovations

Overview

STARCARES, the community-impact initiative of STARTRADER, has completed several basketball court renovation projects across different regions.

In Nigeria, the initiative refurbished the basketball court at the University of Lagos College of Medicine in Idi-Araba, Surulere. The project provided a new playing surface, infrastructure, benches, and equipment to support approximately 2,000 medical students and staff. CEO Peter Karsten stated that the environment of institutions preparing people to safeguard health should sustain them.

Following this, STARCARES completed a redevelopment project at Communal Elementary School in Buhangin, Davao City, Philippines. This facility is intended to serve roughly 20,000 people, including students, school staff, parents, and local residents, acting as a space for sports, school events, and community gatherings. This follows previous revitalization efforts by the organization in Vietnam, Thailand, and Nigeria.
