Starlink expands Personal Maritime plan to support larger boats

SpaceX has updated its Starlink Personal Maritime plan to accommodate larger vessels. The maximum length for eligible watercraft has been increased from 40 feet to 60 feet.

The plan is designed for small boat owners who travel internationally and requires users to submit documentation, such as a vessel registration certificate, to qualify. The service costs $185 per month, which is a $10 increase over the Roam Unlimited plan.

While the plan provides unlimited data in territorial waters, users accessing service beyond 12 nautical miles from the coast via Ocean Mode will be charged $6 per GB, an increase from the previous rate of $2 per GB. The update follows feedback from the boating community regarding the previous length restrictions.
