Die Höhle der Löwen features diverse startup pitches and deals
The 20th anniversary season of the German startup show ‘Die Höhle der Löwen’ features a variety of diverse pitches and investment deals.
Notable highlights include a pitch by Loume, a Hamburg-based sleep-coaching startup led by Viktor Dik and Markus Schnauer, who sought 350,000 euros for 10 percent equity. During the presentation, investor Johannes Kliesch called his wife to seek her opinion on the device he already uses at home.
Another successful deal involved Alena Leeb, founder of Poppy’s. After discussing the logistical challenges of shipping frozen goods, she secured 40,000 euros for 40 percent of her company from investors Johannes Kliesch and Carsten Maschmeyer. Leeb shared an emotional moment with Frank Thelen, noting that his autobiography helped her and her husband avoid personal insolvency years ago.
Other pitches included a specialized drain cleaning tool presented by Anton Vrouzos and Marius Ludwig, which secured an investment from Ralf Dümmel, and a humorous presentation of an intimate hygiene gel called Penice by Markus Flagner. The current jury includes prominent investors such as Ralf Dümmel, Janna Ensthaler, Frank Thelen, and Carsten Maschmeyer.
