State of Mexico and Guanajuato launch mobile caravans to deliver public services to families

The Government of the State of Mexico, led by Governor Delfina Gómez, completed its itinerant "Caravanas por la Justicia Social" program, processing more than one million procedures for over 370,000 families across all 125 municipalities. The caravans offered about 125 services—such as civil‑registry acts, property regularisation, wills, legal advice and driver’s‑license issuance—with 95 % provided free of charge, generating savings estimated at over 278 million pesos. More than 150 public employees from 31 federal, state and municipal agencies participated in the tours, which are on their third round covering the entire state.

In the neighbouring state of Guanajuato, the State DIF carried out a similar outreach, visiting 23 of the 46 municipalities under the "Encuentros nuestras familias, nuestra gente" and "Red Móvil" initiatives. Mobile units provided health, social‑security, education, job‑training and civil‑registry services, aiming to bring governmental programs directly to families and to complete coverage of all municipalities. The effort seeks to strengthen community participation and improve the quality of life for Guanajuato’s residents.
