State of Mexico judiciary signs anti-corruption pact

Judicial authorities in the State of Mexico have signed a formal pronouncement titled ‘Zero Tolerance for Corruption and Bribery’ to strengthen institutional integrity and prevent irregularities. The agreement was signed by leaders from the Superior Court of Justice (TSJEM), the Judicial Discipline Tribunal (TDJ), and the Judicial Administration Body (OAJ).

Héctor Macedo García, president of the Superior Court of Justice, emphasized that corruption extends beyond bribery to include the failure to fulfill obligations, unjustified procedural delays, mistreatment of staff, irregular use of public resources, and abuses of authority. The initiative aims to ensure that any conduct constituting an administrative fault or crime is addressed by competent authorities in accordance with the law and human rights.
