State of Mexico Mobility Agency rolls out staff training and electromobility forum

The State of Mexico’s Secretariat of Mobility (SEMOV) conducted a training course for 45 officials from the State Public Transport Registry offices in Tlalnepantla, Nezahualcóyotl, Toluca and Atlacomulco. The program aims to speed up licensing procedures, improve service quality for transport concessionaires, and eliminate malpractice, with officials citing the need for greater transparency and efficiency. Secretary of Mobility Juan Hugo de la Rosa and Registry Director Adrián Bolaños León emphasized the link between professionalized staff and better public service.

Separately, SEMOV hosted a forum on electromobility, bringing together producers, specialists, academics and transport operators to discuss more efficient, affordable and sustainable mobility solutions for the state’s 17 million residents. Highlights included ongoing projects such as Mexicable 3, the Chalco‑Santa María trolleybus, new Mexibús corridors, and the La Paz‑Texcoco light‑rail line, all intended to cut travel times and reduce transport costs for users.
