State of Mexico to Host 5th International Agroindustrial Forum in August
The State of Mexico will host the 5th International Agroindustrial Forum (FIA 5) on 7–8 August at the Centro de Convenciones del Estado de México. The event is organized by the state’s Secretaría del Campo together with the national industry chamber CANACINTRA.
Officials expect 3,000‑5,000 visitors and more than 100 exhibiting companies. The forum aims to generate business links, attract investment and showcase technologies such as modern irrigation, climate‑adaptation practices and digital solutions for the agro‑food chain.
Representatives from the embassies of Russia, Spain, Ukraine, Brazil, Vietnam and Ivory Coast have confirmed attendance, with additional delegations being sought. The State of Mexico produces 740 thousand hectares of farmland, 141 crops and livestock items, generating over 27 billion pesos annually and ranking first nationally in ten crops.
