Steak promotions draw diners across Japan in July and August

Steak no Asakuma will hold a "Meat Day Customer Appreciation" event on July 25‑26 at dozens of restaurants nationwide, offering 50 % larger portions of sirloin, tenderloin and rump steak while keeping prices unchanged. The promotion runs from lunchtime through dinner at locations in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, Ibaraki, Aichi, Mie, Gifu, Osaka, Kyoto and other prefectures.

On August 1, Akita’s Ugo‑gyu (Ugo beef) festival in the town of Higashi‑Ugo will feature the region’s prized A5‑rank beef. Attendees can purchase a 250‑gram sirloin steak for ¥4,000, a mixed beef‑pork barbecue set for ¥2,000, and individual beef skewers for ¥600, with the event organized by local livestock farmers, the JA Komachi cooperative and municipal officials.
