Stefan Radulović indicted for Banjska terrorist attack

The Special Prosecution of Kosovo has filed an indictment against Stefan Radulović for his involvement in the terrorist attack that occurred in Banjska, Zvečan, on September 24, 2023. Radulović is charged with committing a terrorist act and serious offenses against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo.

According to prosecutors, Radulović participated in the attack as part of a heavily armed and structured terrorist group. The incident resulted in the death of Kosovo Police officer Afrim Bunjaku and left several other officers injured. The prosecution alleges the group's objective was to destabilize Kosovo's constitutional structures and forcibly detach the northern territory to join Serbia.

Radulović was arrested on April 17, 2026, at the Merdar border crossing. This indictment follows a previous legal action taken on September 11, 2024, which included 45 other defendants. The Banjska attack has been characterized by Kosovo authorities as a terrorist act supported by Serbia, though Belgrade has denied these accusations.
