Stefan Szczesny to celebrate 75th birthday with solo exhibitions

German-French artist Stefan Szczesny will celebrate his 75th birthday in 2026 with a series of solo and special exhibitions. A major solo exhibition titled ‘Farbe & Zeichnung im Licht des Südens’ (Color & Drawing in the Light of the South) is scheduled to take place at the Kunsthalle der LV 1871 in Munich from September 16, 2026, to February 2027.

In addition to the Munich exhibition, a show will be held in early September at the Musée Salle Jean-Despas in Saint-Tropez. Szczesny, a co-founder of the ‘Neue Wilde’ movement, is recognized as a significant figure in European contemporary painting and sculpture, known for his expressive, figurative style and vibrant use of color.
