Stelato V8: BAIC and Huawei reveal luxury MPV details

Stelato, a brand formed through a joint project between BAIC and Huawei, has released new details regarding its Stelato V8 luxury MPV. The 7-seater minivan features a modern design with a dual-layer front lighting system and a star-patterned light strip.

Technical specifications indicate the vehicle will be available in both hybrid and fully electric configurations, both featuring all-wheel drive. The hybrid model utilizes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine acting as a generator for a 227 kW electric motor, producing a combined power of 387 kW. The fully electric version will utilize a 120 kWh battery.

Safety and convenience features include a Huawei driver assistance system equipped with a lidar sensor located above the windshield. The interior is designed for accessibility, with second-row seats that automatically rotate toward the doors when the sliding doors open. The vehicle has already received certification from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
