Greek cultural scene features inclusive theatre and musical performances

Various cultural events and performances are scheduled across Greece. The National Theatre of Greece will present a final performance of Euripides’ ‘The Trojan Women’ at Theatro Vrachon on September 23. This production is notable for its inclusive approach, featuring a mixed cast of 22 performers, including members of the En Dynami group, and providing accessibility through Greek Sign Language, subtitling, and audio descriptions for those with visual and hearing impairments.

In theatre, Joana Marai-Smith’s ‘Thriller in Switzerland’ will debut at Ilisia Volanakis Theatre on November 20, 2026, starring Reni Pittaki. Additionally, Vasilis Katsikonouris’ oral storytelling project, ‘The Absentees,’ returns to Argo Theatre for its fifth run.

In music, Stelios Rokkos is scheduled to perform in Thessaloniki and Halkidiki as part of his ‘Tragoudo I Donata’ tour. Meanwhile, the musical event ‘The Neighborhoods Sing’ continues in Drama, and a collaborative concert featuring Lakis Papadopoulos, Giannis Giokarinis, Nikos Ziogalas, and Manolis Famellos is set for October at Kyttaro.
