Stella Lefty’s ‘Boston’ holds number one on Country Airplay chart

Stella Lefty’s single “Boston” has held the number one position on the Billboard Country Airplay chart for a second consecutive week. According to Luminate, the track recorded 29.5 million audience impressions between September 18 and September 24.

Lefty’s achievement marks the first time a solo female artist has seen a debut single spend multiple weeks at the top of the Country Airplay chart since Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman” in 2004. Additionally, “Boston” reached the top of the charts in 22 weeks, representing the fastest ascent for a debut number one by a solo female artist since Wilson’s 2004 hit.

Lefty is the fifth solo female artist this decade to secure a multi-week number one on the chart, joining Ella Langley, Gretchen Wilson, Gabby Barrett, and Maren Morris. The single is the first leader for Atlantic Outpost, a label formed in July 2025.
