Stella Lefty album release and headlining tour announcement
Overview
Country-pop singer Stella Lefty announced her debut full-length album, ‘Long Way Home’, during a headline performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago. The 14-track album, which includes seven new songs and seven previously released tracks, was officially released via Atlantic Outpost on 21 August. Critical reception has been mixed, with some reviewers praising the ‘upbeat and playful vibes’ of tracks like ‘Lean In, Kiss Me’, while others questioned her vocal authenticity.
Following the album release, Lefty announced her headlining ‘Long Way Home Tour’. Scheduled to begin in January 2027, the North American tour will start in Detroit and include stops in cities such as Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, Houston, Nashville, Chicago, and Boston. Her itinerary also features multiple performances in New York City at Webster Hall, Bowery Ballroom, and Brooklyn Paramount.
On 24 August, Lefty addressed her sudden departure from Tucker Wetmore’s ‘Brunette World Tour’. While she did not provide a specific reason for her exit, she expressed continued support for Wetmore and offered to communicate individually with fans who purchased tickets specifically to see her perform.
Since the album release, Lefty’s professional profile has expanded to include a VMA nomination for Best New Artist and a nomination for Best Country Song for her single ‘Boston’, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following reports of similarities between ‘Boston’ and Noah Kahan’s ‘Stick Season’, Lefty granted Kahan a songwriting credit on the track. The album also features singles such as ‘Thinking ’bout You’, ‘I Know I Know’, and a collaboration with Vincent Mason titled ‘Something To Lose’.
