Stellantis announces major leadership changes in European design and commercial operations

Stellantis is implementing significant organizational restructuring across its European operations, focusing on design leadership and commercial integration.

In the design sector, Sandeep Bhambra has been appointed Head of Design for Citroën and DS Automobiles, succeeding Pierre Leclercq and Thierry Metroz, respectively. Leclercq moves to lead the design for Opel and Vauxhall, replacing Mark Adams, who is retiring after nearly 25 years. These appointments, effective from November 2026, aim to support the group’s FaSTLAne 2030 strategic plan and strengthen individual brand identities under the direction of Gilles Vidal.

Simultaneously, Stellantis has unified its B2B and used vehicle activities in Europe under the leadership of Joël Verany. This new structure, part of the Enlarged Europe Commercial Operations, seeks to coordinate the entire vehicle lifecycle, from fleet creation to resale. The reorganization affects approximately 1.7 million annual sales and aims to improve management of residual values, total cost of ownership, and remarketing logistics.
