Fiat marks 50 years in Brazil with historic milestones and brand experiences
Fiat celebrated five decades of operations in Brazil, highlighting more than 19 million vehicles produced at its Betim (MG) and Goiana (PE) plants and its six‑year streak as market leader. The automaker’s lineup includes the long‑running best‑seller Strada pickup, the Toro SUV‑pickup, and other commercial models such as the Titano, Fiorino and Ducato, which together dominate the light‑commercial segment.
The anniversary campaign featured immersive events in Minas Gerais, including a live‑marketing activation at the Inhotim museum and at the Minas Tênis Clube, where visitors could test‑drive the Fiat Toro, interact with brand‑themed installations and receive memorabilia. A new institutional film, shot across 15 locations with 39 vehicles, complements these experiences.
Fiat also announced a strategic plan to launch one new model each year through 2030, beginning with releases slated for 2026, and to expand its hybrid‑light (MHEV) portfolio, exemplified by the 2026 hybrid version of the Toro pickup. These initiatives aim to sustain the brand’s market share and reinforce its legacy of innovation, from the 1979 ethanol‑powered Fiat 147 to today’s electrified offerings.
