Stellantis CEO confirms Maserati is not for sale
Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has confirmed that Maserati is not for sale, dismissing rumors regarding the potential divestment of the luxury brand despite recent sales declines. Speaking at the Paris Motor Show, Filosa stated that the brand will remain part of the Stellantis group, which includes 14 brands. He also ruled out the possibility of splitting the company into separate European and American entities, noting that the group benefits from sharing global technologies across all divisions.
To revitalize Maserati, Stellantis plans to announce a new strategic plan involving a partnership later this year. This plan aims to restore the brand's commercial standing in the exclusive luxury market. Maserati head Santo Ficili indicated that future developments will focus on new SUV and GT models, potentially including a four-door coupé. While there is speculation regarding the return of V8 engines, Ficili suggested that the current V6 engines offer significant potential for the brand's direction.
