Stellantis commits $60 billion to global brands; Fiat to unveil electric Grizzly SUV

Stellantis announced its FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, redirecting about $60 billion of investment toward four designated "global brands"—Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and Fiat. The plan will shift other marques such as Opel, Citroën, Dodge, Chrysler and Alfa Romeo toward more regional focus, while niche brands like Lancia and DS will be tied to existing platforms. A solid‑state battery prototype from Factorial Inc. has been installed in a Dodge Charger Daytona for field testing, illustrating the group's ongoing technology push. The announcement comes as the company's shares trade lower after a sizeable annual loss, with a quarterly report due in July that will test the plan's early impact.

Within the same strategy, Fiat, now a priority global brand, is preparing to launch two compact electric SUVs called Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback. The models will be offered with 100 % electric powertrains and are scheduled for release in the second half of 2026, likely debuting at the Paris Motor Show. The Grizzly Classic targets practical, robust daily use, while the Fastback version emphasizes style and long‑distance comfort, each featuring distinct exterior designs but sharing interior technology and a spacious cabin for the segment.
