Stellantis outlines Fastlane 2030 strategy and leadership changes
Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has outlined a strategic roadmap to address excess production capacity and restore profitability through the 'Fastlane 2030' plan. Key strategies include launching new products across major brands like Peugeot, Fiat, and Jeep, and utilizing partnerships with Chinese automakers such as Leapmotor and Dongfeng to share capacity and adopt faster development cycles. Filosa noted a divergence in global markets, emphasizing domestic engineering for the U.S. while pursuing international joint ventures elsewhere.
In leadership news, Michele Ziosi has been appointed Chief Public Affairs Officer, effective October 1. Ziosi, joining from Iveco Group, will oversee public affairs for Enlarged Europe and coordinate global institutional relations, reporting to CEO Antonio Filosa.
On the international front, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani visited Stellantis' headquarters in São Paulo, Brazil, to mark the 50th anniversary of Fiat in the country. The visit aimed to strengthen economic ties and discuss industrial development and mobility cooperation between Italy and Brazil.
