Stellantis Mangualde completes GreenAuto agenda, launches two electric models

StellantisMangualde plant in Portugal marked the conclusion of the GreenAuto agenda on 30 June 2026, presenting two 100 % electric vehicles – a passenger model and a commercial van. The project, part of Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, involved a €120 million investment, the installation of a new 800‑square‑metre battery‑assembly line and the creation of 63 qualified jobs.

Since 2024 the factory has been the country’s first large‑scale producer of battery‑electric vans, including the Citroën ë‑Berlingo, Peugeot e‑Partner, Opel Combo‑e and Fiat e‑Doblò. The GreenAuto agenda delivered 21 new products and processes, strengthening Portugal’s position in the low‑emission vehicle value chain and supporting the broader energy transition.

The initiative, coordinated with 36 institutions and consortia, underscores Stellantis’ role as a national reference for sustainable mobility and industrial modernisation.
