Stellantis negotiates Maserati partnership with Huawei and JAC Group
Stellantis is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Huawei and the JAC Group to establish a long-term industrial partnership involving Maserati. The collaboration aims to leverage Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility platform to develop new vehicles, with the goal of producing the first joint model by late 2026 or 2027.
The proposed strategy may involve a dual-branding approach: vehicles would be sold in China under JAC’s Maextro brand, while maintaining the Maserati emblem for international markets. This move is seen as a way to address Maserati’s recent financial challenges, including an adjusted operating loss of 198 million euros in 2025.
While Stellantis has declined to comment on market rumors, stating it maintains regular contact with global industry partners, the company is expected to officially unveil Maserati’s long-term strategy during an investor day in Modena, Italy, later this year.
