Stellantis unveils autonomous BOW delivery concept at IAA

Stellantis Pro One has unveiled the ‘Box on Wheels’ (BOW), an autonomous, fully electric concept vehicle designed for urban last-mile logistics, at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover, Germany. Developed in collaboration with AI and robotics specialist UQI Robotics, the BOW concept reimagines the delivery van by prioritizing cargo space over driver amenities. The vehicle lacks a windshield, dashboard, and driver’s seat, functioning essentially as a mobile, driverless cargo container.

The concept is intended for use in controlled or low-emission urban environments, such as factories, hospitals, airports, and specific city zones with restricted access. While Stellantis has not released specific technical details regarding battery capacity, range, or payload, the project aims to explore an integrated ecosystem of autonomous logistics, electrification, and connectivity.

In addition to the BOW concept, Stellantis Pro One showcased its new Smart Compact Van, a segment C commercial vehicle available across various brands including Citroën, Fiat, Opel, and Peugeot. This vehicle features modular interior solutions like the ‘Flexiseat’ and ‘Moduwork’ to enhance professional functionality.
