Stellantis ramps up Moroccan production with new Fiat Grizzly and Fastback models

Stellantis announced that its Kenitra plant in Morocco will assemble two new C‑segment models, the Fiat Grizzly and the Fastback, aimed at export markets including Europe from the second half of 2026. The vehicles will use the “Smart Car” platform that also underpins the Grande Panda produced in Kragujevac, Serbia, allowing a mix of gasoline, hybrid and electric powertrains.

The expansion follows a €1.2 billion investment that raises the plant’s annual capacity to 535,000 cars and seeks to raise local parts sourcing to 75 % by 2030. The move is part of Stellantis’s broader North‑African strategy, highlighted by Citroën CEO Xavier Chardon on LinkedIn, linking Morocco with markets in the Middle East and Europe and complementing recent developments in Algeria.
