Stellantis announces production halt at Melfi plant and communication restructuring

The Stellantis manufacturing plant in Melfi, Italy, will suspend production from November 2 to November 6 due to a shortage of components. This interruption has raised concerns among labor representatives, including Florence Costanzo of UGL Metalmeccanici Basilicata, regarding industrial stability, employment security, and the need for clear investment plans for the facility.

Separately, Stellantis has announced a reorganization of its communications team in Italy, effective November 1. Under the direction of Claudio D’Amico and Alessandro Nardizzi, several PR managers have been assigned new or expanded brand portfolios. Marco Freschi will manage Citroën and DS Automobiles, while Andrea Gualano will oversee Abarth, FIAT, Fiat Professional, Lancia, Jeep, and American brands such as Dodge and Ram. Marco Pontida will handle Peugeot and Alfa Romeo, Stefano Virgilio will manage Pro One, Stellantis B2B, and Opel, and Erika Camelin will cover Leapmotor and Parts & Service.
