Fiat reveals first images of new Argo X hatchback for Brazil

Fiat has released the first official images and video teasers for the Argo X, a new compact hatchback scheduled for the Brazilian market in late 2026. The vehicle will be manufactured at the Stellantis automotive plant in Betim, Minas Gerais.

Drawing heavy design inspiration from the European Fiat Grande Panda, the Argo X features a distinct visual identity characterized by pixelated LED lighting signatures in the headlights and taillights. The model is built on the Stellantis Smart Car architecture, a derivative of the CMP platform. While it adopts a rugged, crossover-like aesthetic with high proportions and black wheel-arch moldings, Fiat maintains that it is a compact hatchback.

The Argo X is not intended to replace the current generation Argo; instead, both models will coexist in the lineup to cover different market segments. The new model is expected to occupy a higher position in the range, offering more technology and equipment.

Mechanical specifications suggest the lineup will include six versions. Entry-level configurations are expected to use the 1.0 Firefly aspirated engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Higher-end versions are anticipated to feature the 1.0 Turbo 200 Flex engine combined with a 12-volt mild hybrid system and a CVT automatic transmission.
