Stellantis unveils $70 billion Fastlane 2030 plan, adding 60 new models for North America
Stellantis, the world’s fourth‑largest automaker, announced a $70 billion Fastlane 2030 turnaround plan aimed at reviving its North American business. The strategy calls for launching at least 60 new vehicles and 50 major refreshes by 2030, including 29 battery‑electric models and a mix of hybrids, plug‑in hybrids, range‑extended EVs and conventional powertrains. CEO Antonio Filosa told investors, “Our brands are our strongest assets,” as the company will focus investment on Jeep, Ram, Chrysler and other key marques, using shared global platforms and new partnerships with Leapmotor, Dongfeng, Tata and JLR.
The plan emphasizes affordable and off‑road capable products. Nine of the 11 North‑American models will be priced under $40,000, such as the Chrysler Airflow midsize SUV and the compact Arrow series, while Ram targets a new Dakota pickup and a three‑row SUV. Jeep’s lineup will expand with the Scrambler, Recon, and a two‑door Gladiator variant, all designed for rugged use. The broader vehicle mix is intended to attract budget‑conscious families, commuters and truck buyers while increasing the availability of cleaner‑driving options.
