Stellantis unveils preview of new Alfa Romeo and Chrysler SUVs

Alfa Romeo has released its first official image of a forthcoming compact SUV, slated for a formal unveiling in the fourth quarter of 2027 with market entry expected in early 2028. The model, built on Stellantis' STLA Medium multi‑energy platform, will be produced at the Melfi plant in Italy and features a sloping rear window and the brand’s signature red hue, suggesting a coupe‑style SUV aimed at the C‑segment.

Separately, Stellantis posted a teaser video showing a new Chrysler SUV that will use a conventional internal‑combustion engine. Also based on the STLA Medium platform, the vehicle appears to be a medium‑size SUV with distinctive LED daytime running lights, a grille‑less front end, and a design that differs from the earlier Airflow concept. Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell highlighted the model as the first major addition to the brand’s lineup since the 2015 Pacifica, part of a broader strategy that includes a battery‑electric model planned for 2025.
