Stellar Blade technical specs revealed for Nintendo Switch 2
Shift Up has revealed technical specifications for the Stellar Blade: Complete Edition port on Nintendo Switch 2, which is slated for a 2026 release. During Gamescom, CTO DongKi Lee detailed how the studio aims to achieve a consistent 60 frames per second (FPS) in both handheld and docked modes.
To reach this performance target, the developer is utilizing a hybrid technical approach. The game will use Nvidia DLSS for upscaling, targeting 720p in handheld mode and 1080p in docked mode. Because the Switch 2's DLSS implementation lacks frame generation, Shift Up is also employing AMD's FSR 3.1 frame interpolation. This method involves running the game at a base of 30 FPS and using interpolation to reach the 60 FPS target, a choice that may result in increased input latency.
The Complete Edition will include all previous DLC, additional outfits, and seasonal content. It also features hardware-specific optimizations such as touchscreen support, gyro mode, mouse controls, and a conversion of PlayStation 5 haptic data to work with Nintendo's HD Rumble. A mandatory day-one patch is expected to further refine performance and address visual artifacts seen in early builds.
