Stellar Gospel Awards celebrate music and culture

The 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Awards celebrated the achievements of gospel music artists, featuring performances and honors for industry leaders. Hosted by Kirk Franklin, the event included an opening performance by Tye Tribbett and the Ablaze Youth Choir, and concluded with a medley by Pastor John P. Kee.

Major award winners included Darrel Walls, who received the Artist of the Year award, and Tasha Cobbs Leonard, who was honored with the Aretha Franklin Icon Award. Other notable winners were Alescia Knowles-Smith for Song of the Year, Jonathan McReynolds for Male Artist of the Year, and Lisa Knowles Smith for Female Artist of the Year.

On the red carpet, Adia Andrews appeared in a custom couture look styled by Felipe G. Andrews also secured a win for Urban Single or Performance of the Year for her song ‘On The Way’ Remix featuring Erica Campbell.
