Other winners included Vincent Bohanan & SOV for Album of the Year, Lecrae for Rap Hip Hop Gospel Album of the Year, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise for Choir of the Year, and JustCordell for Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year. Adia Andrews won Urban Single or Performance of the Year for her song ‘On The Way’ Remix featuring Erica Campbell.

The event introduced the HBCU Choir of the Year category, awarded to the Fort Valley State University Choir. Tasha Cobbs Leonard received the Aretha Franklin Icon Award, and Pastor Mike Jr. was honored with the Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award.

Following the ceremony, Lisa Knowles-Smith & The Brown Singers are scheduled to perform at the 34th annual SpiritFest in Greenville on September 6.
