Stellar Gospel Music Awards celebrates artists and honors legends

The 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, hosted by Kirk Franklin, was held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ceremony, themed ‘Feels Like Home’, featured a diverse lineup of performances spanning traditional gospel, contemporary worship, and urban music.

Motown Gospel secured five wins during the event. Notable winners included Jonathan McReynolds, who earned Male Artist of the Year and Contemporary Duo/Chorus Group of the Year for ‘Still (Live)’. JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise won Choir of the Year, Adia won Urban Single or Performance of the Year, and JustCordell won Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year.

Special honors were also presented during the broadcast, with Tasha Cobbs Leonard receiving the Aretha Franklin Icon Award and Pastor Mike Jr. receiving the Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award.
