Stellar Gospel Music Awards held in Charlotte

The 41st Stellar Gospel Music Awards took place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hosted by Kirk Franklin, the ceremony celebrated major achievements in the gospel music genre.

Lisa Knowles Smith & The Brown Singers were among the night's most successful recipients, winning five awards including ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Quartet of the Year’. Other notable winners included Darrel Walls for Artist of the Year, Jonathan McReynolds for Male Artist of the Year, and Vincent Bohanan & SOV, who received three awards including ‘Album of the Year’.

The event also featured the inaugural HBCU Choir of the Year category, marking a historic moment for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. North Carolina A&T State University’s Fellowship Gospel Choir was recognized as a finalist in this new category.
