Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra nears sale to BOLL

The Polish speedway club Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra is nearing a change in ownership to resolve a budget deficit of approximately 4 million PLN. The financial difficulties, stemming from previous budget assumptions and tensions between the main sponsor and the city, had previously threatened the club's license for the PGE Ekstraliga.

Advanced negotiations are underway with the automotive chemical manufacturer BOLL, which is expected to acquire the city's shares for 2 million PLN. This transaction is not an open tender but is being facilitated through the company's statutes and the waiver of pre-emption rights by existing shareholders.

The city of Zielona Góra aims to exit its minority stake in the club, noting that its current position provides no real influence over daily management. Following the sale, the city plans to announce a competition to provide an additional 2 million PLN in support to stabilize the club's finances.
