Steven Nguyễn to play male lead in ‘Chị chị Em em 3’

Behind-the-scenes footage for the upcoming film ‘Chị chị Em em 3’ has revealed new details regarding its production and character development. Producer Will Vũ stated that the third installment aims to differentiate itself from the previous two films by expanding the narrative beyond a story centered solely on women to include a multi-character storyline.

For the first time in this cinematic universe, a male lead has been introduced, played by Steven Nguyễn. According to the producer, the role was specifically tailored for him. Nguyễn described his character as being distinct from his previous roles, noting that the character is not a gangster or a typical businessman, but rather someone who is ‘clever’, ‘agile’, ‘decisive’, and involved in ‘gambling’.

Kỳ Duyên will star as the character Thị Mầu. Producer Will Vũ noted that she embodies the spirit of the ‘beauty universe’ established in the franchise, portraying a sharp and decisive character. While excited about the role, Kỳ Duyên expressed some apprehension regarding the difficulty of the character.
