Steven Wilson announces new album ‘Requiem For A Village’

Musician Steven Wilson has announced his upcoming studio album, ‘Requiem For A Village’, scheduled for release on November 6 via Fiction Records. The project features the new single ‘On Chapel Slope’.

Wilson has intentionally adopted an unorthodox recording approach by avoiding artificial intelligence and corrective audio technologies. Instead, the production embraces human error and organic imperfections, utilizing analog synthesizers and uncorrected instrumental performances to maintain a sense of human gesture.

The album includes narration written by Andy Partridge and voiced by actor David Tennant. Collaborators on the project include multi-instrumentalist Randy McStine, drummer Russell Holzman, and vocalist Katherine Priddy. Wilson is also set to perform sold-out shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 28 and 29, featuring orchestral arrangements and the SANSARA Choir.
